Schedule

Course Format

This WILL be different from our regular season or past National Finals format, so please take note.

Every athlete will run two prelim courses - A Speed Course and a Burnout Course. Please see the description and rules for each course below.

Speed Course

  • Standard CNL rules

  • 1 Retry

  • This course is designed to be a sprint. Athletes will be given a very short time cap. The obstacles will be short, quick, and optimized for efficiency

  • No bonus point for full clear

Burnout Course

  • No retry rule

  • Maximum 15 seconds rest between obstacles

  • Run ends after 1st fail

  • This course is designed for upper body strength. There will be no lower body obstacles on this course. Obstacles will be both longer and more difficult than the speed course

  • No bonus point for full clear

Scoring System

  • The Percentage Based Scoring System will be used to determine your combined score for Prelims. The Top 3 athletes will advance to the Finals Course on Sunday.

  • If an International Athlete places in the Top 3, the next Canadian athlete will also advance to Finals.

Finals Course

  • Athletes will be allowed 3 attempts per obstacle

  • Athletes must clear their current obstacle to advance to the next

  • If the athlete fails all 3 attempts, their run is over

  • Final placement is based on number of obstacles completed

  • In the event of a tie, the athlete with less retries wins. If the tie still exists, the athlete with a faster time wins

  • Athletes final time is their time as of their last completed obstacle
