Parent Code of Conduct

Introduction.

We appreciate and value the importance of the ninja community and we want to continue to provide a safe and positive environment for our athletes and children.  In addition to our Athlete Code of Conduct, we have also created a Parent Code of Conduct that we would like all parents to read and abide by.

Parents play a big role in our children’s experiences and we want everyone to treat coaches, athletes and officials with respect and the same way that you would like to be treated.

Parent Code of Conduct

  • Be a role model by supporting your child

  • Remember that children are involved in sport for their enjoyment not yours

  • Do not force your child to participate in sports

  • Encourage your child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence

  • Applaud good run’s for both your child and other athletes

  • Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from children’s training and competitions

  • Respect and show appreciation for the trained coaches

  • The use of foul language towards anyone (coaches, teammates, judges, opponents or spectators) will not be tolerated

  • Respect all decisions made by coaches and judges. Parents should seek clarification of a run from their coach if they are concerned about their child’s run

  • It is never appropriate to question or abuse officials during or after a competition. Officials have the final say and operate with the best interest of fair sport

If you do not abide by these, the following actions will be taken:

  1. Verbal Warning by the Head Judge

  2. Competition Suspension from Gym

  3. Season Suspension from CNL

  4. League Suspension from CNL
